Wet Felt-making Paintings 10.30 - 3.30pm £75

A fun day workshop suited to complete beginners. Experiment and explore wet felt-making with a variety of wool and plant fibres.

Lots of samples of felt making to see in my studio. We start with a practical demonstration of felt-making, an exploration of all the different types of fibres and the effects that can be achived using them,

Then you will make a felted wool painting/picture. You can choose to make a seascape, landscape, floral composition or go abstract. Select from a wide choice of gorgeous coloured wools, plant fibres and textural yarns. Learn about the differing properties of wool and plant fibres. Explore blending and mixing coloured wools and different fibres together. Try out embedding fibres and yarns into the felted surface to create texture and form.

Residential 'Enchanted Woodland' Wet Felting Course

Thursday 7th May from 1pm - Saturday 9th May early evening

Two and a half days (consecutive) structured wet felt making residential course to make a 'Enchanted Woodland' wall hanging, completed with hand embroidery and needle felted details.

The course will be held at Bottoms Farm near Todmorden in West Yorkshire. At a retreat centre with a newly converted studio space, accomodartion and parking. For a maximum of seven people.

The price covers the two and a half day course - all tuition, materials and use of equipment. Accommodation: choice of shared twin rooms or 2 x single and 1 x ensuite. All meals included apart from Friday night when you have a choice of local food options or the pub next door. You can stay on for the Saturday night for a small extra cost after booking.

In this popular workshop you will discover how to make a mini needle felted sculpture of your own dog or cat any breed from a photo. We will be using wool fibres and a felting needle.

Suitable for all including complete beginners.

Needle Felted Owl

2.30 - 5.30 pm £38

Join us in this fun afternoon intro to 3D needle felting. Discover how to make a colourful, funky owl using a felting needle and lovely wool fibres all provided.

Your owl can be natural or fun colours, based on real-life or fantasy. In this guided workshop you will learn to use the needle and wool fibres to make the body, head, woolly feet, wings adding big felted eyes to bring your owl to life.

Making an owl is ideal for all ages, celebrations, families,work groups. Youngsters under 16 need a parent/guardian present.
